Inconel Ball Valve
How Does an Inconel Ball Valve Work?
- Opening the Valve: When you turn the handle counterclockwise, the valve’s shaft (or stem) rotates in the same direction. This rotation moves the ball inside the valve so that the hole in the center of the ball lines up with the pipe connected to the valve. When the hole is lined up, fluid can flow through the valve.
- Closing the Valve: If you turn the handle clockwise for a quarter turn, the ball rotates again, but this time the hole becomes perpendicular to the direction of the fluid flow. This blocks the flow, and the ball and valve seat create a tight seal, stopping any fluid from passing through.
