In a hydropower plant, the water supply system for components like the generator’s cooler, generator set’s bearings, and main shaft sealing often employs a bidirectional water supply method. This method supplies water in both positive and negative directions and regularly flushes the pipeline to prevent mud and sand buildup.
However, the current system requires four motorized valves to work together, making the installation complex and space-consuming. Additionally, using four valves increases both costs and the risk of system failure—if even one valve malfunctions, the entire system could be compromised.
